Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Even though she comes from a good English family, both the mother and grandmother of Julie Le Breton (Elsie Ferguson) led scandalous lives. She seems to be following in their shoes when she goes to work as a secretary to Lady Henry (Ida Waterman) and becomes involved with a worthless guardsman, Capatin Warkworth (David Powell). Lady Henry refuses to allow him in the house and fires Julie. She goes to the Captain, who proves to be a cad and is finally rescued by Lord Delafield (Holmes E. Herbert), who loved her all along. This picture was based on a novel by Mrs. Humphrey Ward, and included two prologues showing Julie's mother and grandmother -- Elsie Ferguson played both roles.
