La Mia Canzone al Vento (My Song to the Wind) is a vehicle for popular Italian tenor Giuseppe Lugo. The plot concerns a star-struck heiress named Elena (Laura Nucci), who enters a lottery to win a weekend visit from self-satisfied singing star Carlo Tanzi (Giuseppe Lugo). In hopes of lowering the odds, Elena purchases 30,000 lottery tickets! Even so, Tanzi is "won" by the family of a middle-class stationmaster, and in short order falls in love with the family's daughter Luisa (Dria Paola). In a reversal of the usual cliché, Tanzi discovers that the right girl for him is the heiress rather than the bourgeois daughter, who turns out to be in love with an impoverished composer. Just guess whose songs are sung by Tanzi in the big finale.
