Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

This innovative opera film, which is part of a series created for television, is composed of several film genres including satire, mystery, and opera. It is interesting that each of the main singers, sings in a different language. The basic storyline revolves around a lovely painting of the beautiful Saskia by Hugo Sierra a Bohemian artist. Model and artist fall in love. Later in an art gallery, the seductive owner sings of Hugo's unvarying market value, and of an American gangster who wishes to purchase the painting of Saskia. To increase Hugo's market value, the gallery owner stages a robbery, then has a party to celebrate. Meanwhile in the gangster's manse, the American believes the painting contains a secret. He is obsessed and even tries to tryst with Saskia who breaks up with Hugo. The gangster soon discovers that he loves the painting, not the girl.
