Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Mariano is a foreman in a Venezuelan factory. Despite ongoing efforts by his peers to assist in his development of some sense that the owners aren't always right, he has been content with the status quo for almost 20 years. However, when management puts an under-trained worker on the factory floor, despite Mariano's protests, and the boy is seriously maimed, Mariano goes ballistic. Instead of firing Mariano, or changing their behavior, his employers send Mariano to a psychiatrist, who seeks a subtler compliance from the man and attains it.
