Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The man christened by the New York Times with the title "Chant Master of American Yoga" is captured in a live 2004 performance of Kirtan (chant) in Los Angeles, as well as a series of interviews in which he shares inspirational stories of his personal contact with his Guru, in this documentary profile of Krishna Das. In addition to a detailed look into Das' past, this multi-faceted documentary also offers seldom-seen archival footage of Neem Karoli Baba as well as scenes which capture Das and mentor Ram Das speaking with noted music producer Rick Rubin. Buddhist teacher Sharon Salzberg voices praise for Das' positive effect on those seeking spiritual sustenance, and full-length chants from a Los Angeles concert are also included.
