Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Russian filmmaker Mikhail Chiaureli spent much of his career directing worshipful paeans to his idol, Joseph Stalin. Mikhail Gelovani plays Stalin, herein depicted as a selfless disciple of Leninist ideals. The Soviet dictator commands enormous loyalty amongst the citizenry, who out of love for good old "Uncle Joe" work day and night to build Moscow into the industrial capital of all the Russias. Stalin also stirs his people into a patriotic frenzy which enables them to survive WW II, emerging stronger and more resillient than ever.
