Synopsis by Cammila Collar
This 13-episode anime TV series illustrates how a simple chance meeting can have a wide impact. It follows a boy named Kino who rides a talking motorbike named Elmes from town to town in the name of exploration. In each episode, he comes into contact with a new group of people who organize their community in a different way. In one place, the residents have developed telepathy and are keenly aware of each others' feelings; in another, the people adhere staunchly to majority rule. As Kino passes from one place to another, his seemingly miniscule presence has a rippling effect on the people he interacts with, and it becomes apparent how one person can change the lives of many.
