Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Created by Glenn Chandler, this three-part, three-hour miniseries served to introduce British televiewers to the character of grim Glaswegian police inspector Jim Taggart. Played by Mark McManus, Taggart wasted no time establishing his Scottish turf, as he began to track down a wily serial killer. Broadcast by BBC's Scotland service in 1983, Killer ended up as the pilot for the popular weekly TV series Taggart, which again starred Mark McManus.
