He documentary Junior examines the culture of Canadian junior league hockey by recording one season in the history of a particular team. The teenage players face a number of trials and tribulations on top of the normal problems that face anyone coming of age. While they play their hearts out, the coaches, owners, and agents appear to have all the power necessary to make these kids' dreams come true, or crush their desire to become an NHL player. The film offers no game footage, but offers a wealth of intimate footage of the players experiencing the highs and lows of their lives.
