About to be killed by the Cobra's natives, Jungle Jim (Grant Withers, Malay Mike (Raymond Hatton) and Joan Redmond (Betty Jane Rhodes) are rescued in the nick of time by the latter's native friend, Kolu (Al Duval), who sounds a counter order via the jungle drums. A plane crashes in the jungle and the co-pilot is killed. But Hawks (William Royle), a presumed gunrunner, believes he can repair the damage and agrees to take Slade (Al Bridge), Redmond (Bryant Washburn) and, eventually, Joan out of the jungle. Back at the Cobra's castle, Joan bargains for Jim and Malay Mike's life by offering the Cobra (Henry Brandon) the Redmond fortune but the point becomes moot when our heroes escape. The Cobra tracks them down, however, and Shanghai Lil (Evelyn Brent) shoots Jungle Jim at point blank range straight through the heart.
