Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Chapter five of Universal's Jungle Jim reveals that both Jim (Grant Withers) and Malay Mike (Raymond Hatton) survived the explosion inside Cobra's castle. Joan (Betty Jane Rhodes), meanwhile, is shot during a struggle with her evil uncle, Bruce Redmond (Bryant Washburn), and although recovering quickly the poor girl is soon menaced by one of those rare African tigers endemic to pulp fiction such as this. Chased around by the Cobra (Henry Brandon) and his warriors, Jim and Mike escape the castle a la Douglas Fairbanks and hook up with Joan's servant Kolu (Al Duvall), who knows a shortcut to the girl's hideout. Unfortunately, the shortcut includes a deep gorge bridged only by a rope and as Jim makes his way across, the rope is severed by crack shot Lebat (Paul Sutton).
