Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
When an aging Chinese woman agrees to journey to America to celebrate her seventieth birthday with her two daughters, her son-in-law, and her granddaughter, her presence helps to soothe tensions between her estranged daughters in this family drama from director VV Dachin Hsu. Upon arriving in America, Lee Lai Yinn (Tsai Chan) embarks on an extended road trip through the California wilderness with her Americanized daughters Ming Yee (Kim Miyori) and Ming Na. As the rising animosity between the clashing sisters threatens to tear the family apart at the seams, it's up to their wise old mother to patch up old wounds so the family can cut loose the baggage of the past and start life anew.
