Synopsis by Janiss Garza

John Ermine (Francis Ford who also directed) has been raised among the Crow Indians, never knowing that he is a white man who was captured as a baby. On a trip to a nearby post he falls in love with Katherine Searles (Mae Gaston), but when he proposes to her, she is insulted because she believes he is a half-breed. Her father (Mark Fenton) and sweetheart (Duke Worne) don't take too kindly to Ermine, either. But Katherine has fallen in love with Ermine, and even though she asks forgiveness he returns to the tribe. Later, when a group of hostile Sioux and Cheyennes attack the post, the Crows come to the white people's aid, and Ermine dies in battle. Apparently there was an alternate happy ending, in which Ermine rescues Katherine from the redskins and they marry.
