Synopsis by Steve Blackburn

In this program, military adventure novelist Tom Clancy ushers viewers inside the Nixon White House for an insider's tour guided by Watergate-era Nixon aide John Ehrlichman. In addition to many little-known facts about the Nixon administration's operating procedures, highlights of this program include insights into Nixon's "Waterloo" by Ehrlichman, the man who once advised the president to leave a scapegoat administration figure "twisting slowly in the wind." The program also features film from the personal files of Ehrlichman, who spent 18 months in prison for his role in the Watergate affair, a scandal that resulted in the president resigning from office. Among the many shocking allegations made in this program is that Nixon approved a plan to fire-bomb a Washington think tank that refused to relinquish its copy of the politically damning Pentagon Papers.
