Singer and songwriter John Denver gained international fame for his simple paeans to the beauty of nature and the glories of love, as reflected in such songs as "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," and "Take Me Home, Country Roads." This documentary, produced several years before his untimely death in 1997, features several of Denver's best-known songs and several of his personal favorites, as well as interviews with Denver and clips from his television specials.
