Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Bollywood director Raj N. Sippy's crime thriller outing Jimmy opens with the most brutal of murders. The cops immediately launch a massive investigation, where every lead seems to point to the same individual: the title character, a mechanical engineer who transforms himself into a Tony Manero-like disco lord every evening, meanwhile doubling up as a deejay. Jimmy only DJs (or so he says) to pay off the debts left behind by his father; it shocks everyone, then, when this seemingly thoughtful and altruistically-inclined young man confesses to the murder point-blank. Yet when he lands in jail, Jimmy suddenly concludes that he has fallen prey to a nasty and ugly conspiracy that put him in these dire straits.
