Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Whenever Jerry walks in his sleep, he makes beeline to Tom and gives the confused cat a painful trouncing. Tom of course is outraged by this treatment and takes vengeance on Jerry--who, upon waking up, can remember nothing about his somnabulistic sadism and can't understand why Tom is being so abusive. Finally Jerry figures out what's going on, a determines to remain awake (and unharmed!) throughout the rest of the night. But despite the mouse's best intentions (not to mention gallons of coffee), he ultimately dozes off and gives Tom another trouncing--leading to this cartoon's elaborately painful payoff.
