Synopsis by Gayla Mills

Come meet some of Jane Goodall's favorites: David Graybeard, who has a fondness for bananas, Grandma Flo, who in caring for her baby chimps teaches Jane a trick or two, and a clever baby chimp who scoops up termites with grass blades. Features Goodall's conversations with her chimps, who taught her their language during the thirty years she lived with them in Tanzania. The middle of the Goodall trilogy includes footage of Goodall's life, from childhood to her growing love affair with chimpanzees. It follows her current efforts to protect chimps around the world, including those in U.S. labs and zoos and those kept as pets in Africa. Though the film touches on some of the serious threats to chimpanzees, it also captures the playful nature of these intelligent and fascinating primates.
