A bored chauffer endures a long drive by recounting his many sexual conquests to his rapt boss, but finds himself repeatedly interrupted by a series of strange occurrences in this adaptation of Denis Diderot's beloved novel Jacques the Fatalist. The louder Jacques boasts about his colorful sex life, the more obsessed his passenger becomes with knowing every minute detail of the libidinous wheelman's affairs. In time, it dawns on Jacques that his boss is simply using the drive as an excuse to mine as many intimate details about his eventful life as possible.
