Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Half-breed trapper Jacques LaRouge (Mitchell Lewis in one of his typical Northwest characterizations) is infatuated with Memory Baird (Fritzi Brunette), the daughter of the owner of the trading post. When fugitive Joseph Treffery (Captain C.A. Van Auker) happens into town, Memory hides him from the police. Some time later Jacques and Memory are on a deer-hunting expedition and get separated from each other. Memory winds up at a notorious dance hall where the proprietor gives her a hard time. Treffery is there and saves her by claiming she's his fiancee -- then the proprietor forces them at gunpoint to actually wed. Jacques finally finds her and Treffery offers to divorce her as soon as possible. When Memory goes home, she meets Warren Sherman (Edward Hearne), the proverbial nice young man, but Treffery has decided he doesn't want to divorce her. Jacques chases Treffery down by dogsled and the villain gets his due. This leaves Memory free to marry Sherman while Jacques walks off, broken-hearted.
