Released in the U.S. by United Artists, the feature-length documentary Jacare was originally produced and released in Brazil. Former Universal newsreel editor Charles E. Ford was responsible for assembling this filmed record of James Dannaldson's hunting expedition into the jungles of the Amazon River. The film is jam-packed with wild-animal footage, including a pulse-pounding attack by a 28-foot anaconda. To "hype" the film's bankability in America, producers added a commentary by Frank "Bring 'Em Back Alive" Buck. The music for Jacare was provided by no less than Miklos Rosza!
