Produced at CBC's Vancouver facilities, It's a Musical World was alternately hosted by Tommy Common and Tommy Makem. Specializing in folk music, the series boasted an in-host singing aggregation, the Sweet Majac. For its first season, which ran from June 21 to September 6, 1973, It's a Musical World was seen on Thursdays. The program moved to Wednesdays for a second group of episodes, which were seen from February 13 to March 27, 1974. The final round of telecasts were shown on Tuesdays, from January 7 to April 1, 1975.
