Synopsis by Perry Seibert
This documentary traces the Herculean efforts of journalist Theodor Herzl to create a homeland for the Jews in the heart of Palestine. After witnessing the Dreyfus affair in France, he noted the disturbing increase in anti-Semitism that was sweeping across Europe. In response, he championed the idea that would decades later become the country of Israel.
