Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This lively, spontaneous Canadian talkfest was an outgrowth of a weekly lunchtime discussion held by certain CBC employees at the Four Season Bar, just across the street from the network's Toronto headquarters. For the series proper, the four regular hosts and their guests held court at another Toronto watering hole, Julie' s Restaurant. The conversation was lively, sometimes pugnacious, frequently hilarious and always fascinating. Telecast on a tape-delay basis, Irish Coffee was seen on Wednesday evenings from September 24, 1969 to January 28, 1970.
