Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
French filmmaker Jean-Michel Roux directs the supernatural documentary Investigation Into the Invisible World, an exploration of fantasy beings specific to Icelandic folklore. Various Icelandic folk give their commentary on the possibility that fairies, elves, and other magical creatures are lurking about. Road commissioners, police officers, and fisherman are just a few of the unlikely believers. Roux employs several means of cinematic manipulation to create the right atmosphere for the topic. Norwegian house DJ Biosphere and international electronic musician Hector Zazou provide the soundtrack supervision. Investigation Into the Invisible World was shown at the 2003 Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
