Synopsis
The career of Paramount Pictures chairwoman Sherry Lansing is recalled with comments by Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, John Travolta, Julia Stiles and Mel Gibson. Lansing chronicles her time in Hollywood, beginning with a dissatisfying turn as an actress. Later, a job reading scripts led to her success as a producer and a position as the first female president of a movie studio. Also: marriage to director William Friedkin; working for cancer research; and developing strong roles for women in film.
