Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Award-winning director Dan Habib's documentary on the challenges faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities in America – e.g. intelligence testing as a criterion for school admission - was inspired by his own son Jesse, who has cerebral palsy. It follows the lives of three young American adults with different intellectual disabilities and presents their unflinching desires to secure a better education, participate in the workforce, and establish intimate relationships.
