Synopsis by Mark Deming
In 1975, Ritchie Blackmore parted ways with the British hard-rock band Deep Purple to follow his own musical vision with a new group he assembled himself, Rainbow. While never as popular as Deep Purple, many hard-rock aficionados cite Rainbow as the stronger and more uncompromising band, and this DVD features rare footage of the band on stage as well as a panel discussion by musicians and music critics who explore the band's music and career in depth.
