One of the most intelligent and challenging bands to emerge from the British progressive rock scene, King Crimson was the brainchild of guitarist and composer Robert Fripp, who guided the group through a multitude of personnel changes and shifts in creative direction following their acclaimed recorded debut in 1969. In 1972, after the group's lineup had once again splintered, Fripp joined forces with bassist and singer John Wetton, drummer Bill Bruford, percussionist Jamie Muir, and David Cross on violin and mellotron to create the King Crimson lineup that would record the landmark album In the Wake of Poseidon and would carry the band through to the end of their first era in 1975. Inside King Crimson: A Critical Review 1972-1975 is a documentary which looks at the band's history through this period, offering a critical evaluation of the group's recording and clips of the band in concert. This video was created without the participation or authorization of King Crimson, and representatives of the group have issued a statement requesting that fans not purchase it.
