Synopsis by Jackie Turner-Robinson

Insane Clown Posse: Six Jokerz -- Unauthorized is an unauthorized biography of the band's career, tracing their beginnings in 1991 to their acceptance by the rap industry in 2000. The rap-rock sound of the Detroit-based band initially attracted a local cult following, but the market stimulated success for many bands and the group now attracts a nearly mainstream audience. The controversial yet campy group is sometimes compared to the rock band Kiss for their face painting and crazy antics, reminiscent of professional wrestling characters. Band members Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope counter the camp with offensive lyrics. This unrated presentation also includes clips from home videos produced by the group. .
