In this drama, an idealistic medical student ends up without a diploma because he performed an illegal abortion, and then he heads for even more trouble. He goes to work for a logging company in small mountain village and is surprised to discover that the abortion he performed is back to haunt him. The woman who had sought his help to end her pregnancy lives in the village. Since she knows full well what the men are like here, she asks the former medical student to leave. Instead, he is soon caught between a rock and his conscience when his foreman basically orders him to perform an abortion on his wife, and in exchange, his boss will lean on certain VIPs and get the student a medical diploma.
