Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When Dick Allison (Thomas Carrigan) goes down South, he meets an orphaned young lady, Mary Ann Hubbard (June Caprice), and politely tells her to call on him any time she needs help. She takes him literally and shows up on his doorstep in New York. So he buys the girl some decent clothes and hands her over to his fiancée. Innocent as she is (or perhaps because of her innocence), Mary Ann manages to expose the fiancée as a fortune hunter. Still, she heads back South because she doesn't want to ruin Dick's romance. Dick, however, has fallen in love with her and out of love with his money-grubbing fiancée, so he follows close behind. This film was based on the play Liza Ann by Oliver D. Bailey.
