Released in the wake of the hugely successful In the Days of Buffalo Bill, this 15-chapter Universal serial featured Charles Brinley in the title role, the legendary Boone attempting to establish a frontier colony despite the opposition of British Tories and warring Indians. Duke R. Lee, who had portrayed Buffalo Bill Cody in the previous chapterplay, here essayed both George Washington and Simon Girty, with Jack Mower and Eileen Sedgwick (as Susan Boone) handling the romantic aspects. William J. Craft, Jay Marchant, and Frank Messinger (father of child stars Gertrude and Buddy) directed from Jefferson Moffit's screenplay.
