Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Wealthy manufacturer Frank Powell (Harry T. Morey) is in love with Irene Carson (Agnes Ayres), the sister of the governor's wife. But Irene has drawn the attention of social parasite Rodney Foster (George Majeroni) and Powell's lazy younger brother Bert (Gladden James). Powell has his hands full protecting Irene from these two, but when Foster is found murdered, he's suspected of the crime and winds up fighting for his life. Although he has an alibi -- he was with the governor's wife -- he refuses to use it, as it would cast aspersions on a woman's honor. But Powell is saved from the electric chair when the real killer confesses. This society drama was an mediocre programmer for Vitagraph.
