Synopsis
The evolution of art during the 20th century is examined in director Hart Perry's documentary about artists' views of the world and how artists are influenced by the media. Featured are archival interviews with Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and Andy Warhol; and comments from art historians Ed Ruscha, Wanda Corn, Jonathan Fineberg and Grace Hartigan. Also: a look at artworks by Thomas Eakins, Stuart Davis, Cindy Sherman and David Wojnarowicz.
