Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Dirty dealings in the world of high finance -- actually, the world of high gangsters -- is the subject of this standard crime drama by director Noburo Nakamura. A group of Japanese hoodlums decide to set up a fake securities corporation in order to bilk investors of their money. They are clever enough to finesse their way out of any legal hassles as they watch their ill-gotten nest egg grow to gargantuan proportions. What they cannot foresee is that a stubborn, slow-moving, and determined detective might actually be effective in his mission to bring them down. But the sleuth would not be as effective without help from an unexpected quarter -- the fickle stock market.
