Handsome, narcissistic Mumbai music producer Ishaan (John Abraham) takes his doting mother (Zarina Wahib) his overprotective sister (Mini Mathur) and his gorgeous girlfriend (Chitrangda Singh) for granted until the day he falls in love with his new neighbor Gauri (Prachi Desai), who teaches him the true importance of relationships. With her philosophy to guide him, Ishaan works to repair the relationships he's neglected in the past, but finds that taking responsibility for his selfish behavior is easier said than done.
