Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Premiering July 22, 2000, the BBC documentary series I Love the '70s (aka I Love 1970s, with a drawing of a heart replacing the word "love" on the opening credits) was a ten-part, ten-hour excursion through the titular decade. The fashions, foibles, music, mores, films, TV shows, and toys of the 1970s were fully and entertainingly explored. In keeping with the lighthearted, nostalgic nature of the series, each episode was hosted by an iconic celebrity from the era, among them Lynda Carter, Carrie Fisher, Jimmy Saville, Bo Derek, and even Kermit the Frog. I Love the '70s proved popular enough with British viewers to warrant a brace of follow-up series, I Love the '80s and I Love the '90s.
