Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Originally produced for the religious TV series Family Theatre, I Beheld His Glory is told from the point of view of Roman centurion Cornelius (George Macready). Macready was on duty the day that Jesus Christ (Robert Wilson) made his fateful journey up Mount Calvary towards His crucifixion. A nonbeliever up until the moment of the Seven Last Words, the centurion was at last moved to remark "Truly this Man was the Son of God." Lowell Gilmore also appears as a brusque, short-tempered Pontius Pilate. I Beheld His Glory has remained in constant circulation since its first telecast during Easter Week, 1953.
