Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith

This ten-part BBC series examines why people around the world respond so differently to specific places, economic issues, and cultural realities. During this episode, viewers are introduced to several people visiting or living in Cancun, Mexico. Each person clearly interprets the city's offerings based upon his or her own personal circumstances. While tourists or business executives often see Cancun as a traveler's or investor's paradise, local Mayan farmers simply see its fields as a place to labor each day.
