Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Corinne Griffith stars in this old-fashioned tale of misunderstanding. Patricia Langdon (Griffith) has two suitors, wealthy Roderick Duncan (Webster Campbell), whom she loves, and Richard Morton (Maurice Costello), an unpleasantly aggressive cattle king. When Patricia's father finds himself in dire financial straits, he goes to Duncan for help, figuring that the rich young man will become part of the family anyhow. When she finds out about the transaction, however, Patricia feels she has been bartered for the loan and is very upset. She haughtily refuses to be engaged to Duncan unless it's a business transaction only. In the midst of the couple's estrangement, there is a party, and at one point Patricia and Morton are found missing. Langdon and Duncan are both concerned, and they go looking for the girl. They find her at the mercy of Morton and an accomplice. Duncan knocks out the cattle king and rescues Patricia. She finally realizes that Duncan's motives were purely honorable, and reconciles with him.
