Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
The labor strike in the San Joaquin Valley by migrant workers who harvest grapes is the focus of this compelling documentary. Since 1964, Delano, California has received national attention for the efforts of the National Farm Workers Association to align themselves with the powerful AFL-CIO. At the time of the film's release, only three out of the 35 growers have recognized the NFWA. Strikers yell at scabs who cross the picket line as the situation seems far from being resolved.
