Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Diminutive Italian comedian Monty Banks breezes through the British comedy Honeymoon Ahead. Banks plays an American newlywed, whose mother-in-law Lena Halliday insists upon coming along for the honeymoon. In desperation, Monty arranges for a group of London gangsters to kidnap Lena. The whole affair ends in an elaborate slapstick chase, the hallmark of all Monty Banks vehicles. Honeymoon Ahead was the first British effort for Hollywood director Tim Whelan, who decided to stay in England for the rest of his career.
