So preoccupied with an upcoming football game that he forgets to hire a babysitter, Tim (Tim Allen) ends up bringing in a professional magician (Eric Christmas) to watch the kids while he and Jill (Patricia Richardson) go out to dinner. As it turns out, the evening is all but spoiled by Tim's insistence upon taking a radio to the restaurant so he can monitor the game's progress. And back at the Taylor home, the kids lock the poor prestidigitator in his own magic trunk -- then nearly kill the poor guy in a rescue attempt.
