Synopsis by Sally Barber

Holy Land, Holy People is a six-part series examining the birthplace of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The soul of modern Israel is depicted through actual footage of the sights and sounds of the sacred land, as well as through commentary from spiritual leaders, teachers, and activists. The program The Word examines the role of the holy word of God passed on to each of the monotheistic faiths. It shows the great significance of the Torah to Judaism, the relevance of the Gospel to Christianity, and the unchallengeable sacredness of the Koran to Islam. Other programs in the series include The Children of Abraham, The Holy City, The Desert, Covenant and Reality, and The Living Spirit.
