Synopsis by Sally Barber

Holy Land, Holy People is a six-part series examining the birthplace of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The soul of modern Israel is depicted through actual footage of the sights and sounds of the sacred land, as well as through commentary from spiritual leaders, teachers, and activists. The program The Desert discusses the beginnings of the three monotheistic faiths. It relates desert events relative to the individual faiths, including the Israelite's Sinai experience, Jesus' wilderness experience, and the Prophet's call outside of Mecca. Other programs in the series include The Children of Abraham, The Holy City, The Word, Covenant and Reality, and The Living Spirit.
