An entertaining compilation of clips from the great films of the silent era, this collection of masterpiece moments was put together by director David L. Wolper and includes everything from 1907's The Great Train Robbery to the spectacular chariot race in Ben Hur almost two decades later. Featured actors include all the names that still resonate today: Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, and several others. Gene Kelly provides an introduction and conclusion and also reads the narration.
