Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The controversial effects of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project -- also known as HAARP -- are documented in this probing look at the high frequency radio transmitter that some believe is slowly causing irreversible damage to the upper atmosphere. Founded on the principals originally put forward by Nikola Tesla, HAARP beams high level energy into the upper atmosphere of Earth to gather information needed for ionospheric research. In addition to aiding environmental studies, however, HAARP can also be used to identify missile silos and hidden oil reserves even in the most rugged terrain. With this release, host Martin Sheen explores the potentially damaging effects of HAARP on the environment, and raises the question as to if the government has been truly honest about its use of the controversial technology.
