Synopsis by Janiss Garza

J. Warren Hobbs, Sr. (Henry Barrows) wants to buy back a mine he sold to Louis Willoughby (Hayward Mack) and he sends his son, J. Warren Hobbs, Jr. (William Russell) out West to complete the transaction. To make sure it goes through, Hobbs, Sr. also sends out professional bad man Angus MacDonald (Carl Stockdale) to make sure that no one else goes near the mine. But his rival Rufus Renshaw (Richard Morris), who is also father of Hobbs, Jr.'s sweetheart Helen (Winifred Westover), also wants the mine. When Lord Willoughby, Louis's twin brother (Mack, in a dual role), is rejected by Helen, he decides to impersonate his brother, sell Renshaw the mine, and pocket the money. Meanwhile, Hobbs, Jr. is buying the mine from its real owner. He finds out about the swindle perpetrated by Lord Willoughby and straightens things out, but then his father tells him the mine is worthless. So he sells it to Renshaw when he promises to let him marry Helen.
