Synopsis by Brendan Walsh
This short documentary uses interviews with experts to take viewers through the life of Alexander the Great. Also known as Alexander III, he was king of Macedonia from 336 B.C.E. until his death from fever in 323 B.C.E. During his reign he conquered Greek city-states as well as the Persian Empire from Asia Minor to Egypt to India; he envisioned an empire governed by tolerance, though his actions were often quite the opposite. An examination of the historical legacy of Alexander the Great ends the video.
